The history and presence of the Ocelit Foundry
The history of the Svatobořice-Mistřín foundry goes all the way back to 1906 and starts with cast-iron products required for the company?s street lamp manufacture. As the lighting technology, for which the castings were used, advanced over the years, our technology has been changing gradually until today when the company?s principal production program is a continuation of the preceding years and involves the manufacture of aluminum die castings and permanent-mold castings batch-produced on commercial basis. Since 1998 when the Ocelit Company started running the foundry?and later also became its owner?the number of employees has increased to 45. Thanks to our first-class team of experts skilled in the foundry profession and to the mutual links between design, construction, and production of tools and molds, we are able to choose the optimal technology and offer our customers castings of the required quality for a reasonable price.
